Create a New Homepage

Your theme features a full widgetized page template that allows you to add and order your homepage content however you would like. To create your homepage visit Pages > Add New. On the right side of your screen assign the Homepage Template in the Page Attributes area. Also note that there will be no need for you to fill the editor block as the content of the homepage will be completely replaced by a widget area.

Create a Static Front Page

By default WordPress will load your latest blog posts on the front page of your website. To set your homepage template as the front page of your website, simply visit Settings > Reading and choose your newly created page as the Static Front Page.

Modify the Hero Settings

When activated, the Grimlock Hero plugin allows you to modify the Hero section of your front page through the Customizer. An wide range of options (title, subtitle, text, button, layout, typography, colors, background image, padding, etc.) is available to help you create the most impacting homepage header.

Add Section Widgets

When activated, the Grimlock plugin allows you to add section widgets to your homepage. Those widgets have an important number of customization options that lets you perfect the content of your page. Moreover, it provides you with 5 types of widgets:

• Grimlock Section Widget – A full width widget to showcase any marketing heavy content
• Grimock Query Section Widget – A full width widget to display a query for post types
• Grimock Term Query Section Widget – A full width widget to display a query for taxonomy terms
• Grimock Posts Section Widget – A full width widget to display a query for posts
• Grimock Custom Menu Section Widget – A full width widget to display a menu
